Companies to Consider for Boycott.

Boycotting companies is a personal decision. There are companies and company founders with a track record for supporting GOP candidates and right-wing causes that are inconsistent with the values of Indivisible. We will keep a running and expanding list, as they come to our attention, of companies we examine for boycott justification.

Amazon: Founder Jeff Bezos appeared on the dais when Donald Trump was inaugurated. The company paid The Trumps $40 million for exclusive distribution rights for Melania Trump’s “documentary.” This amount exceeds by a factor of 50-60x the typical price for distributing a documentary. The payment is widely seen as a “tribute” to Trump to avoid regulatory action against Amazon. Bezos/Amazon also contributed to Trump’s inaugural fund. Political action committees (PACs) linked to Amazon and the Bezos family have given significant sums to Republican-aligned PACs and candidates.

Tesla: SpaceX — Elon Musk (CEO/founder)
Founder Elon Musk Spent hundreds of millions backing Trump and other Republicans in the 2024 cycle. CEO Musk served in the White House for the first few months of Trump 2.0 as head of the Department of Government Efficiency. During that time, Musk drove the firing of thousands of government employees, including those at the IRS responsible for auditing high-net-worth individuals. He also directed the mining of tax-payer/social security data in improper ways that has made the data insecure and used for illegitimate political purposes.
